Music Census™ Cohort
Our Cohort Music Census™ is for cities, regions, or communities looking to conduct their Music Census™ alongside other cities engaged in a learning cohort. This is a good choice for those who want to build a network of other music-friendly cities, and it offers a more cost-effective price. This approach provides a mix of group and individual city guidance, there is a standard set of reports each city receives. The process and survey methods are consistent across all of our Music Census™ so that data can be benchmarked.
2023-2024 Cohort: The First Multi-City Music Census™ Cohort

Communities fund the music census through community foundations, local non-profits, chambers of commerce, tourism offices, downtown associations, city government, or a combination of these entities.
Hold your spot in the cohort with your $5,000 deposit. Join by March 2025 to be part of this cohort, which runs from January 2025 - November 2025. Cohort calls and peer-to-peer networking begin in January, but cities can start their Census earlier if desired. All cities will start their Census by September 2025, with strong encouragement to start earlier to maximize the benefits of the Cohort.
Our Music Census™ collects key data points to better understand music people and their economic activity within a specific geography. It provides a baseline for policymakers and the larger community to understand and take action.
Getting started is easy. Set up an exploratory call (30-60 minutes). We’ll provide you with an overview of the census process, discuss specific considerations for your city, identify who might be the contracting lead partner/entity for your city, and address other questions you may have about how to get started.
